This is an absolutely fabulous Art Deco Amethyst and old cut Diamond ring. Set on a beautiful 9ct gold band with split shoulders, it features a central lavender coloured amethyst amidst a cluster of 16 old cut diamonds. 

This simple, but very pretty design is captivating and a complete showstopper when the gems catch the light. The band bears hallmarks for 9ct Gold, London and the makers mark, M. J. It does not have a hallmark but i would date it to the 1940s.

This ring would serve as an exceptional engagement ring for that very special person, or worn as a statement ring which would never fail to impress.

This truly stunning vintage ring is currently a UK size K which is a US size 5 1/4 and it weighs approximately 2.63g. It could be re-sized up or down within reason by your local jeweller.
